Chicken Or The Egg?
Katie Blundell

“We all live within a context.” Katie Blundell Artist
Artist Description:
Dad and I collaborate well, and we often have philosophical discussions about life. Here, we had raised the age-old question: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
In this case, it was definitely his eggs, actually, on a giant nest made of oyster shells and twigs. When asked to respond, I thought it would be fun to put the chickens on the eggs. I got to work hand-painting the chickens using automotive paint. We also created a hut, which includes binoculars so you can do some “bird watching”, whilst debating the age-old dilemma where the cause and effect are indistinguishable.
